December, 1995.
Minister Fudge was unable to handle the pressure of being Minister of Magic during a Wizarding War. Just days after announcing the return of Lord Voldemort, he dropped the position, placing it smoothly in the lap of Lucius Malfoy. Lucius was a powerful man, though none knew of his alliance with the Death Eaters. His sole aim was the lead the world into a time even darker than anyone could ever dream. His weak link was a nosy reporter - Rita Skeeter.

May 1996.
It didn't take long for none other than Rita Skeeter to reveal the true identity of Lucius Malfoy. Death Eater. After two weeks of interrogation with the Wizengamot, Lucius Malfoy was sentenced to life in Azkaban. Though with the Dementor's current alliance, the chances of him serving his true sentence are questionable.
There were two possible runner-ups to take the new position as Minister of Magic. The Head Auror, Moses Calmer, whom most of those in charge deemed too demanding and harsh. His sarcastic bite and brute honesty worked against him in the end. Leaving but one other to take charge, a public figure and owner of Knockturn Alley's store Borgin & Burkes - Amelia Cosette. Cosette took control before she was even given the position officially, she was cheery and bright, but she had the fierceness of an angered saint. The public demanded her in the position, and so it was handed over to her.

July 1996.
Very few expected what was to come one Sunday in July, inside the Ministry's own confines. Amelia Cosette, leading her group of formidable witches and wizards, Les Feux, struck a deal with Dumbledore and the Order of the Phoenix. Through much plotting and underhanded work, the two factions lured the Dark Lord into the Ministry, where he would meet his end at Amelia Cosette's own hands. However, little does she know that Lord Voldemort always has something up his sleeve, and his Horcruxes are still lying around somewhere in the Wizarding World, waiting for someone to ressurect him.
Meanwhile, the Death Eaters are facing troubles amongst themselves, with the group being split into two factions, one led by Bellatrix Lestrange and her family, the other by Hit Wizard Asher Jacobs. Dumbledore is believed to be dead, while in actuality, his suspicions had him lying low until he's needed.

The public adores Mistress Amelia Cosette with her promises of grandeur and riches. Her flashy balls and seemingly honest demeanor have stolen the hearts of many. But there is a true darkness behind the mask. Sometimes the biggest threats are those which are hiding within the Ministry's own ranks.
Who is a Les Feux? What will become of the Ministry? What does Amelia Cosette truly have up her sleeve? All will be answered Down the Road.
