Distinguishing Features(if any): pale hair, pale skin, and cold sneer that almost always graces her face in the company of strangers
Play-by: Naomi Watts
Overall appearance:
Narcissa Malfoy is an elegant lady in every way. She's always ready to face whatever with a haughty look, and her trademark sneer; just being in her presence could make you want to go through a complete makeover.
She has medium-length wheat blonde hair that is always done in the most intricate and gorgeous hairstyles around, and when it is not, you could never find a hair out of place. She takes great pride and care of her appearance, and you could literally say that Narcissa spends over an hour daily to make sure nothing about her appearance is even the least bit out of place. It does take time to look this extraordinary, after all.
She dresses in the most expensive robes and attire around, and she is exactly the kind of person to judge something based on its price. Narcissa could be presented with two items that were exactly the same, but she would pick the more expensive one, because she firmly believes that the more money she spends, the better the quality of whatever she bought.
Narcissa has a slight obssession with shoes and elegant evening gowns. She has a vast collection of shoes for all occasions, from practically almost every country of the world. She is the kind of woman who sincerely believes that the way you dress is who you are, and in turn, she makes it very clear who she is. So it might be vain; Narcissa does not really care. So long as she looks amazing while being vain, it's all good to her.

Strengths: belittling people, putting on a perfect appearance, lying, organization
Weaknesses: her attachment to her family (both Blacks and Malfoys this time), her need to prove herself......on everything, the fact that she feels she's not needed, her snobby attitude
Overall Personality:
Narcissa Malfoy is one of the proudest, haughtiest pure-blooded women out there. She thoroughly believes being a pureblood puts her on top of everyone else, something that is not really surprising, considering that that was all she heard ever since she was born. Even among purebloods, Narcissa feels that she’s better than the rest because not only is she one of the last Black descendants left, she is also married to the one other family that comes up close to the Blacks, in her mind. With these firm beliefs, Narcissa tends to look down on everyone who isn’t her husband or her kids, or her sister, Bellatrix. Sure, she’ll associate with them, so long as they are pureblood and at least relatively well-off financially, but she’ll always see herself above the rest of society. Lucius’s new status as Minister is doing nothing to remedy this excessive pride, not that Narcissa minds at all. This personality trait is also the reason Narcissa always seems to have a disgusted look on her face, when in public places. She loves emphasizing that she knows she’s better than everyone, and she takes a sick type of enjoyment in making people feel so little and insignificant. It amuses her to see how far they would be willing to go to please someone who’s better......mainly her.
Narcissa may be a very cold woman to everyone and anyone, however, when it comes to her family, she's very loyal and protective of them. She might even come off as suffocating and over-protective of her children and husband, but that is merely because Narcissa's family defines her. She would be completely lost without them (see history). She would do anything to make sure they're all happy and safe, but this trait sometimes gets on the nerves of her children, particularly Delinda, who's not at all like her mother, and wishes to break free of her clutches.
Vanity is also another thing that Narcissa is very well-known for. Ever since she was a child, it was made very clear to her that her greatest asset were her stunning looks. Despite resisting at first, Narcissa eventually starting embracing the fact that being vain wasn't too bad. So what if she flaunted her looks? If they were worth it, why not? Her appearance is incredibly important to her, and you could find Narcissa spending literally hours to make sure she looks absolutely perfect. She hates leaving any flaw -not that she believes she has any- out for people to see. Nope, she wants everyone to define perfection as Narcissa Malfoy.
Narcissa Malfoy is very well-known for being incredibly cold and tactless when she wants to be, but then there are others who know her as nothing but the most charming, elegant woman out there. She has a talent for analyzing people and knowing exactly how to treat them and act in front of them. She's also an excellent liar when need be, and sometimes even if she just feels like it. She almost borders on being a complulsive liar.
A trait of Narcissa that not many people know of is how logical and straight-forward she is when she thinks. Except for the irrational belief that she’s basically royalty, Narcissa tends to think and operate logically. In fact, she could almost be referred to as a ‘by the book’ kind of person. She has slightly OCD-ish tendencies, where when she plans something, or if she believes something should work out a certain way, she will freak out and panic if things go awry. She tends to enjoy planning social gatherings and balls, and when she does that, she practically takes to supervising everything herself and attending to every little detail that others would see trivial. In fact, if it weren’t for the fact that she thinks household work and all that stupid stuff is beneath her, the Malfoy elves would find themselves out of a job to do. As it is, Narcissa tends to grill them about every little detail and demand that everything be done a certain specific way. This obsessive quality of hers is one of the main reasons for the way her life is right now, and it had affected so many decisions she made in her life, including her choice of a life partner (see history).

Son: Draco Malfoy, 15
Pets: like, 5 albino peacocks running around the manor's gardens.

History:
Narcissa Persephone was born as the last daughter to Cygnus and Druella Black, but she looked more like her mother's side of the family than she did the Blacks. With the blonde hair and blue eyes, Narcissa stuck out painfully among the Black daughters, but it did nothing but emphasize her belief that she's better than everyone else......although that was a bit later.
Practically from the day she was born, Narcissa was taught three things: mudbloods and muggles brought nothing but danger to purebloods like herself, the Black family was superior to everyone else, and that family was the most important thing ever. It was the last lesson that affected Narcissa the most. As a young child, she and her sisters were incredibly close. They hid no secrets from each other, shared practically everything, and, despite the vast age difference, were almost always around each other. That was until Bellatrix left for Hogwarts. When her older sister's letter arrived, that was the first time Narcissa ever truly cared enough to learn what Hogwarts was; yeah, she'd heard of her parents and older cousins speaking of the place, but she didnt really care all that much. Now things were different; Bella was leaving to go to that place, and Narcissa learned that Andy would be leaving soon enough as well! She didnt like that very much.
Her distaste for Hogwarts increased when her sisters began to become more distant from her, and to top it all, her parents were always taking Bella alone to teach her 'important' lessons. Through snooping and sneaking around, Narcissa learned that these lessons were some of the darkest magic lessons around. As time progressed, and the summer right before her first year came around, Narcissa noticed something else; the way her parents treated Bella and Andy just a little bit differently than they did her. At first she wasn't sure, but when she began Hogwarts, she noticed that her parents seemed to emphasize her sisters' excelling in classes much more than they did her. In fact, once, in a letter, when Narcissa complained about how she found Transfigurations slightly challenging, Druella replied back, telling her not to worry too much about her schoolwork, because 'with that pretty face, anything is possible' for her. At first she was flattered, but as time went on, Narcissa began wondering if her parents saw anything more to her than her good looks and potential to be easily wed off to a respectable family.
She began working a bit harder on school work, and her grades gradually increased. Yes, sure, her parents noticed and praised her on it, but it was nothing compared to when Bellatrix or Andromeda mastered a dark spell or brewed a perfect potion. Then they recieved so much more attention, her parents glorified the occasions. Narcissa buried the resentment brewing inside of her by reminding herself that her family was important, and that she should never feel anything but utmost love and loyalty to them. Sure, she kind of didn't really understand the whole hating mudbloods thing (the ones at school for her were difficult to pick out at first; they were almost normal to her!), and yeah, sometimes Bella, Andy, and even her cousins Sirius and Regulus, got on her nerves, but it was okay. They were family; she loved them.
Her deep loyalty and bond with her family was practically shattered when Andromeda was disowned. Narcissa had just gotten back home for the summer, and the next day, she woke up to a loud shouting match from next door. Her mother had accidently come across a letter that basically told her about her daughter's relationship with a mudblood. Narcissa watched Andy and Druella yell at each other, unable to say anything. If she took her sister's side, her parents would be so disappointed in her, and she was trying so hard to gain their respect. But if she took Druella's side, Andy would see her as a betrayer. It was all settled when Cygnus came in and found out; Andromeda was kicked out of the house half anhour later, and her parents demanded she and Bellatrix come with them to blast Andromeda off the family tree. Narcissa watched, still paralyzed with shock, and more recently, fear and sadness, asher aunt, Walburga, blasted away her sister's name.
That was the summer Narcissa's life changed. Her views on life changed completely. The family she had once loved and revered was no longer the same in her eyes. Family ties, she learned, were not unbreakable. Family love was not unconditional, at least not the way her parents did it. And Andromeda, she was the hardest part. AT first, Narcissa was upset that her sister was gone, that she could never communicate with her without facing the rather unpleasant consequences from her family. But as the summer passed, the sadness slowly turned into anger and resentment. Why did Andromeda not value the bond that they shared? Wasn't Narcissa and Bellatrix a good enough reason for her to ditch the mudblood and stay? In Narcissa's eyes, Andromeda was the reason she didnt believe in the importance of family anymore, and, to a certain extent, the reason Narcissa's belief in her superiority to muggles and mudbloods increased. At first, after she started Hogwarts, Narcissa wasn't so sure that this prejudice thing was right, but after registering that a mudblood was the reason her sister was gone, Narcissa's hate and prejudice was back, and stronger than it had ever been.
It was during her last year at Hogwarts that something happened to change her once again. Narcissa had had quite a number of friends over the year, one of them being a certain Severus Snape. She accepted him as a friend because he was at least a halfblood, and he kind of believed in what she did. The two of them got closer that year, mostly because Narcissa had returned to Hogwarts a much darker person than she was before, and people noticed. In a rare occasion, after having a terrible day, she broke down and there was no one but Severus around to hear what she had to say. To this day, he is probably the only one who kind of really understands her. The two of them became really close, and eventually, they became romantically involved, but it was kept a secret. One, Narcissa was a 7th year, and he was a 5th year, and secondly, Severus wasn't exactly the kind of guy her parents would approve of. Although Narcissa's respect and love for her family was decreasing by the day, her fear wasn't. She did not want to see her name blasted off the family tree, not any time soon, not ever. Yes, she was beginning to hate the lot of them, the Blacks, but the thought of being rejected by them sent Narcissa to a panic attack. She couldn't do it; she couldn't define herself if she was kicked out of her family.
But her feelings for Severus were growing deeper and deeper, and she was beginning to really lose it, lose her sense of direction. That is, until she met one Lucius Malfoy. Narcissa had known Lucius before, but she had never truly spent any time with him. At a ball at one of her parents' friends, the two got to talking, and soon enough things escalated. Narcissa sort of liked him; Lucius showered her with gifts and attention, and he actually recognized that she wasn't just a pretty face among the masses. Come the end of the year, and Lucius proposed to her, telling her that he just needed her word, and an engagement would be made official as soon as he talked to her parents. Narcissa was caught at a crossroads. She could say no, and follow her heart, and go to Severus, but that would mean losing everything else. But she could say yes, and she'd have a man who loved her and whom she loved to an extent, and get to keep her family and their "love". It was obvious that she would have said yes. Her parents were ecstatic at the news, saying things like how they knew Narcissa would always connect them to a good, respectable pureblood family.
Already fed up with her family controlling her life, Narcissa demanded, almost alarmingly, that she take care of basically everything in her wedding. She picked the date –September- and handpicked the guest list carefully, snapping everytime anyone attempted to make a suggestion or a change, that she almost scared her parents. Only those Narcissa deemed worthy of seeing her and associating with her were invited, and for once, she didn’t care if her parents believed she should invite the Goyles or whoever else she didn’t think worthy. The decorations, the flowers, everything was attended to in such immaculate detail it was almost too perfect. Nothing was going to go wrong, not if Narcissa had her way, and she was going to have it.
The wedding day arrived, and as she stood in front of the mirror, Narcissa’s eyes kept drifting to the two invitations she made but never sent out. One had Andromeda Tonks’ name on it, the other Severus Snape’s. So many times had Narcissa almost given in and sent the invitations, but just as she headed to tie it to an owl’s leg, a million thoughts bombarded her and stopped her. Thoughts reminding her of how Andy had betrayed her, how she had picked a stranger over her, a mudblood nonetheless. Thoughts telling her that Severus probably hated her for picking Lucius over him. Thoughts reminding her of the danger she would be placing both her sister and Severus in if she invited that. And also, they served to remind her of how she would be endangering her own place in the family. She did not want to lose her place in the Black family tree, no matter how much she hated the lot of them. Besides, they had no idea how she felt about them; she was a good enough liar and actress to convince her family that she was the perfect pureblood daughter, and to convince Severus and Andy that she thought they were worse than the scum beneath her shoes. She couldn’t risk ruin that image. But the invitations are still preserved to this day, in a small box she keeps hidden behind one of the stones in the Malfoy Manor.
The wedding went smoothly and perfectly, just like she planned, and her life after that was probably the happiest in a long time. Narcissa did love Lucius, maybe not as much as she did Severus, but that was in the past. Lucius whisked her away from the Blacks, he gave her a new life, and he was simply wonderful to her, even if he was awful to everyone else. Soon enough, Narcissa was pregnant. She hated every minute of it. Every month she would notice how much bigger she got, and it depressed her and had her frantically making sure she had all the charms and potions to bring back her pre-baby body once the bugger was out. However, when Delinda Malfoy was born, Narcissa saw her beautiful daughter as a chance to practice parenting as she thought her parents should have done it. And that was basically to smother the child with love. She was in every way the perfect mother. Delinda , and later Draco, never missed anything, they always had everything they needed, from Narcissa at least. Delinda, however, wasn’t too fond of her mother’s excessive love and adoration. Even at a young age, Narcissa saw that her daughter was so much more like Bellatrix and Lucius than she was like herself. It hurt just a little, but Narcissa loved her all the same, and plus, she had Draco, who was more like her than he was Bellatrix, and in certain aspects, even Lucius. While she and Delinda were often at opposite ends, Narcissa and Draco were always very close.
Now that Voldemort’s back, Narcissa has been thinking more and more about her family, remembering when Andy, and then even Sirius –whom she had gotten along with fairly well- were abandoned and kicked out of the family for not following what the Dark Lord stood for. What was even worse, nowadays, with Lucius as a Minister, and her children at Hogwarts, Narcissa felt lonlier than ever, and unneeded. It is slowly beginning to drive her insane; her family –Malfoys and Blacks- were always what defined her. And now they were all away and busy, and she’s starting to have an identity crisis. Yes, she loved being the Minister’s wife, but she wasn’t sure she liked her new lifestyle. She wasn’t sure she liked how involved Lucius and Delinda were with the Dark Lord, and she prayed to every god she believed in that Draco stayed far far away from the Dark Lord. She has a feeling their involvement with the Dark Lord will end badly, but she was not about to admit that any time soon......or ever. And so long as she had Occlumency, her thoughts were hers and hers only. But how long will it be before her thoughts drove her insane?

It was almost a week after Alyssa had arrested Jon, and she still felt every bit as guilty and terrible as she had about two hours after he was behind bars. Jon didn't kill Skylar. That much she knew. She had no explanation as to why there was so much evidence pointing towards her brother, but there was, and she could see absolutely no way of arguing against it. Any logical person would concede that he did indeed murder his sister, but Alyssa knew Jon. She knew he could be irrational and even let his anger take over at times, but he couldn't, he wouldnt resort to murder. Hell, if that was the case, then she herself would have been dead years ago. But Alyssa had kept all this to herself; Seraphim tried to get her to talk, countless times, but she always brushed him off with a fake smile and an excuse, and went on with her life.
Only, it didn't seem to be going anywhere. In the course of five years, Alyssa had lost almost all she holds dear and precious. Her father was snatched away from her by a sickness, her bestfriend and cousin was murdered by her ex-bestfriend, her other cousins murdered simply for carrying the Rosaire name, and now her sister was supposedly murdered by her own brother. Alyssa could have dealt with all of this a million times easier, had she been able to shake that terrible feeling that she brought it all down. Try as hard as she might, she couldn't figure out a way to save her father, Erick Stefans would have never even thought of murdering Cecilia had she not been Aly's most trusted confidante, and Zoey and Verene did nothing but attract the most notorious of Death Eaters simply by carrying Alyssa's name. All because of a mistake she made at seventeen.
There were times, dark times, when she seriously considered solving all the problems and simply handing herself over to the Dark Lord. But then Serena would come running to her, or Isidro would ask her to come see his latest photos, or even Viola's cries, and Alyssa could not imagine life away from her family. They were her only solace, her one safe haven. Only in the arms of her husband, surrounded by the kids, could she truly feel content, but lately, even that wasn't enough. She couldn't help thinking that they would be next, but she simply saw no way out.
Today, she was frustrated and depressed beyond her capacity, and so she reached for advice where she always knew she would get it. Danielle was always her one and only guide, and even death couldn't stop that. It hindered it, there was no question of that, but Alyssa still reached out for her. She sat in front of her parents graves, after laying white roses over them. They were always her mother's favourite. For a while, she just sat there, eyes closed, and let the wind blow serenely. But as her mind went over all that has happened, sadness and grief overtook her, and she found herself letting her walls down for the first time in a while. The tears naturally rolled down to her cheek, dampening her face, but it did nothing to reduce all the guilt.
But she couldn't wallow in it for a long time, it appeared. The cold voice had her jumping to her feet, on gaurd, as she turned to face the woman who had succeeded in countless times at making Alyssa's life a living hell. It took Aly few seconds to revert straight back into Occluding, grateful that the wind took care of drying the tears. She narrowed her eyes at Amelia, her grasp on her wand tightening, as she responded coldly, her voice only slightly showing the weakness she had just been experiencing, "And you'd be an expert at that? I've always thought your murder rampages were just a way of hiding the fact that no one cared enough to love you. Meaning, yet another defence mechanism."
