Makayla’s look could be considered different, slightly remarkable. No, we won’t go that far but there’s just something about her that sets her apart from others in her family. They all have things that are obviously different about them, yet there are the sibling like features too. Makayla has dark blonde hair of a medium length though she sometimes gets easily bored and alters her hair colour or style. Her height and weight are average for her age and she is taller than her older sister Arianna which she sometimes teases her about.
Most days she dresses just how she feels comfortable. Makayla is somewhat fashion conscious and so comfortable to her often means some kind of gorgeous outfit that still manages to look like she just threw it together to look amazing.

Patronus: Her happiest memory is simple. It was a night that she spent with her siblings, Arianna, Liam and James. It was just a happy night, a night feeling ‘infinite’, that was just the feeling it gave. She’s not a hopeless family girl but she does like to feel loved and wanted. Her Patronus is a rabbit.
Boggart: Death, simply death. Death of herself or anybody she knows. She just finds it rather frightening.

Likes: Shopping, red hearts, secrets, muggle cartoons, tossing her wand from hand to hand, talking, getting to know people, designing clothes, writing in her journal (she refuses to call it a diary), observing strangers, Potions, choosing her siblings clothes and just general hanging out with her family.
Dislikes: Quidditch, pumpkin juice, sleeping, the peace sign, horses, rats, plaid, the Hogwarts robes, Firewhiskey, the division of the Wizarding World (Death Eaters, Order), carrots, people telling her what to do and being treated like a child (by teachers, siblings etc)
Strengths: Potions, Gobstones, keeping secrets, figuring people out.
Weaknesses: anything musical, paying attention when she’s not enjoying something, flying.
Overall Personality:
You don’t have to be a genius to figure Makayla Fox out. Most of her personality traits are very obvious because doesn’t often hide things. She is an avid shopper, never missing a Hogsmeade weekend if she can help it. The Hogwarts uniform is one of her least favourite things in the world because she says it isn’t flattering at all and stumps the growth of the people’s individuality. So, naturally the Hogwarts robes are crumpled on her floor whenever possible.

Makayla is often described as bubbly and enthusiastic but she has a quick temper and so her moods often change quickly. It all depends on what she’s doing. If Makayla doesn’t like something then it becomes evident in the things she says and her tone of voice. This is probably one of her weaker personality traits. But when she’s enthusiastic, she really goes for it. She enjoys making friends and spending time with people because she is quite a people person all around.

On the surface it seems that Makayla is very close to her siblings, especially Arianna due to the fact that she practically raised her. And she really is close to them, she loves the feeling she gets when they’re all together in good spirits. However, deep down possibly in a place in her mind that hasn’t quite registered with her yet, she kind of resents her siblings—especially Arianna. Why is this? Because she feels somewhat deprived of a normal childhood with both parents always being around and her siblings just being…siblings. And you know how things get when you need somebody to blame for those things, Makayla’s subconscious chose Arianna. The resentment doesn’t show in the way they are around each other but it might be the reason that sometimes Makayla feels she has to break out and do something that maybe might cause consequences or disappointment—possibly to show Arianna that she didn’t do as good a job at raising her as two parents might have done.

Okay, so I said that Makayla was pretty easy to grasp, maybe she isn’t. But then again, who is?

Family:
PARENTS
Charlotte James – Makayla doesn’t spend a lot of time with her mother because she is often busy and Makayla is more often than not at Hogwarts. But she does love her and relishes anytime they do spend together. Sometimes she wishes she had a better relationship with her.
Derek Fox – Her father isn’t someone she knows very well. She knows the stories and she has met him but the relationship just isn’t there. From what she’s heard and seen, she’s glad she doesn’t know him very well and resents him for all the problems he’s caused.

SIBLINGS
Liam Fox – Makayla likes Liam, a lot. She acknowledges that he lived the best school life he could with what he had. Although sometimes she gets very annoyed at him due to his protective-ness. But she’s close to him all the same.
Arianna Fox – Her relationship with Arianna is interesting and was covered in the personality section. They are close, being the two girls of the family and what-not but there is that undertone of resentment and blame coming from Makayla although it doesn’t often show.
James Fox – Makayla relates to him, being as they are both the younger ones and still at Hogwarts. However, their lives are pretty separate. She tries to look out for him but sometimes it just slides down her priority list—not because she doesn’t care about him but because when you go to Hogwarts with siblings, lives get in the way and you often hardly speak to one another.
Pets: Well, she had a pet rock once but she was really little. She called it Gurdle, although nobody could figure out why. But now she doesn’t have a pet, she has a short attention span and doesn’t think she’d be able to keep one alive.

History:
Makayla Noelle Fox is the second daughter and third born to parents Charlotte James and Derek Fox. Being the second youngest in the family, she doesn’t know her Dad very well. She knows of the complications that he caused and she’s heard a little of the suffering he’s put the family through—not to mention she’s had to live with the consequences of her fathers’ actions. In fact, she’s glad she doesn’t know him very well and isn’t about to go jumping to get to know him. Her life has been complicated because of his mistakes.

Her elder sister and brother—Arianna and Liam—have had to responsibility of taking care of their younger siblings because their mother has to work and just isn’t around. The siblings had to form reasonably tight bonds when James and Makayla were younger to ensue that the younger siblings’ lives didn’t suffer.

As with the rest of the family, Makayla was eagerly awaiting her Hogwarts letter. She wanted to go somewhere where she could meet people, take care of herself and form new bonds. The prospect of new friends was exciting to her and also she knew of all the fun her older siblings experienced at Hogwarts and was jealous.

When she arrived at Hogwarts she, like her older siblings before her, was sorted into Ravenclaw house. This was surprising to her family and to Makayla herself. Ravenclaw was the house for brainy people, right? Makayla had never thought of herself as brainy. But maybe there was something that the Sorting Hat saw that was different. Maybe there was some form of smarts about Makayla that wasn’t just book smarts. Though she didn’t lack book smarts, just the attention span that was also required to be the typical ‘smart girl’.

Makayla made many friends but no close-knit buddies. She is widely known throughout the school because she does like to talk to everyone and make herself known. She has also gotten into relationships and had her heart broken, not that she hasn’t broken hearts. This is just her attempting to live her life in the most normal way possible, being a normal teenage girl who doesn’t have family problems.

In more recent events, her rebelling—well, her quiet, unnoticed rebelling, has gotten her into some trouble. Here are the basics, and let’s hope we don’t get too clitche here…she slept with a guy, a sort of in the moment type thing, now she’s pregnant. She hasn’t told anyone yet, due to her fear of judgement and possibly loosing her siblings bonds. So, for now she is dealing with the problems on her own—silent suffering.
