Abeforth didn't strike Sorcha as a knight in shining armor but he would do. Sorcha stood up, inching towards the crib where Albus was bawling at all of the loud noises going on around him. In the times she had seen Abeforth, he was usually half-drunk and grunting at something, especially when she was a student and went to the Hog's head and trying to drink fire whisky illegally. She remembered one time she faked her age to get drunk during a hogsmeade visit. Somehow Dumbledore found out and she had a week of detention polishing trophies with no magic.
"Sir, are you sure you want to get involved? Not saying I'm not grateful, but you look a little-" She tried not to say the word Drunk, just to be polite. She grabbed both of her sons, retreating to see what would happen.
"Calm down, Abeforth was related to Albus Dumbledore." Sorcha thought to herself.

Sorcha was already shocked that Abeforth, this drunk old man was able to take down Rodolphus Lestrange. So shocked in fact that she didn't feel her son leave her arms as he apparated out. Sorcha screamed as if a limb was being ripped from her, rummaging though the wreckage as if Rodolphus had somehow hid there. Seeing he wasn't there, she screamed shrilly, grabbing her hair and ripping it out in distress.
She turned to Abeforth.
"WHERE IS HE? WHERE IS THAT BASTARD!!!!" She screamed. She pulled out her wand and a small letter opener, the only weapon looking thing she could find.
"HE HAS MY SON. I'M GONNA KILL HIM!!!! MURDER HIM!!!" She screamed out some other intelligible words that no one could understand. Her worst fear happened. Right now her son could be being tortured, his little limbs ripped apart.
She collapsed, letting out a sob. She was a failure. She had only been a mother for four months and her child was already kidnapped.
"I should have aborted them. They don't deserve to be in this mess." She sobbed to herself.
"Oh God, this would have never happened if Doug was alive. Oh god." She sobbed.

Albus had fought this man so many times over the past two years that he knew the man's attacks by heart. He wasn't prepared for the elemental attacks at first but it was easy enough to counter them since they were opposites with Albus's fire being the stronger element. Once he saw the elemental attacks, he just knew that Rod would incorporate them into dark magic and so wasn't shocked to see an ancient form of Fiend magic called FiendIce thrown at him. He countered it with FiendFyre, given that there was no time to bring the counter into effect. The counter was way too many spells to cast before his curse hit either Albus or Sorcha. Any other spells he cast was simply deflected back at him.
Rodolphus got bold...or stupid... Albus couldn't tell. But he sent a blasting hex at him which was sent back at Rod, making the floor under him explode.Either way, the spell helped him get away from Albus, around him toward Sorcha, steal a baby, and apparate away. Albus felt like crap. He had failed. The one time in months he'd seen any action, and he failed. He walked over toward Sorcha after she started threatening and cursing Rodolphus Lestrange and then started blaming herself. He could read her surface thoughts and could tell just how much pain she was in.
It nearly killed Albus.
Albus bent down beside her and put a loving arm around her like he did when he was...well... him. "It's going to be ok. We're going to get the bastard for this." Albus noticed that he had cursed. Never before had he cursed so much until he became his brother. What was it about wearing someone else's face that made you not care what people thought about you? Anyway, Albus stood up and started undoing the curses on books and walls that Rod had so kindly left behind. He then undid all the fiend fire going around the building and repaired most of the burnt stuff. Albus had always been an expert at this kind of magic. In no time what so ever, the building was back 98% of it's original form and it had only taken about three minutes. When he walked back over toward Sorcha, he read her surface thoughts again and he couldn't stand it. She kept thinking about aborting them and how she knew that if Doug were there it wouldn't have happened. Albus did the only kindness he could to a woman who had lost almost everything. He pointed his wand at her neck and muttered, "Stupefy."
Once Sorcha was knocked out, Albus grabbed her unconscious body and apparated to the Hogs Head where he placed her on a bed to recover the muggle way. She needed his help and he knew that Rod wouldn't leave her alone till he had what he came for. She needed protection.
She needed Albus Dumbledore.
