"That's be ten Galleons" Sorcha said to her customer as she wrote down the purchase. The customer paid, taking a moment to coo at her sons, both of them grinning toothlessly at the man. The twins were four months old and learning how to smile, a trait that they used to charm the customers. Over the four months Sorcha became a mother, she was taking so much pleasure in her children and their little changes though the months. Albus seemed to be the more the imaginative child, Sorcha often going to wake them up to find Albus staring at the celing in pleasure, as if he was imagining a story. Atticus seemed like the more physical child, reaching for tangible things instead of just watching. He seemed like a child who needed to feel things instead of just watching like his brother. Sorcha couldn't get over taking pleasure in both of her children. Sorcha shivered as the customer left, feeling the fall air. She tucked a blanket around both boys, poking Atticus' little cheek. "I think it's time to close up, boys. What do you think?" Albus waved an arm at her, holding his stuffed teddy bear that his uncle bought him. Sorcha chuckled, kissing both boys. "Ma'am, the store is closing." She called to a middle aged woman hanging around the gardening section. The woman huffed, buying a book on fertilizing tulips. "I don't see why you don't just get a nanny." The woman huffed, seeing Atticus squirm at her harsh voice. Sorcha said nothing as she huffed out. "What ever. Boys-" She said, putting a fake harsh voice. "Watch the front while I sort, okay?" she said, turning the sign to closed and locking the door. "I'll be right back." she said, gathering up the discarded books to sort in the back. She went to the back, starting at the poetry section to put them back.

He'd been back in England all week searching for a dead tip on how to bring back bella's beloved Dark Lord, and to make it all worse, he'd had to get used to the English's way of fashion. He'd gotten used to German dress and now he was stuck trying to "blend in" again so he could do this for his wife. Only Crouch Jr, Bella, and himself were ever considered The Dark Lord's most loyal subjects, but in his absence, Rod had grown to like power. He didn't truly want the dark lord to return yet, but this he did because his wife had wanted it done. If nothing else, they would understand at last how the dark lord just wouldn't die. His search finally brought him to an outdated book store in Diagon Alley. He donned his death eater mask just so he could attack the building and strike fear into people's hearts and sat fire to the front part of the building, throwing books everywhere with a simple swish of his wand and then setting carefully laid curses on the books should they be opened this night after he was done with them. No where in this ruddy store was there a book on dark magic. He had to have been led astray in his search for his former master. There was no objects of dark magic or knowledge anywhere inside the building. It was then he heard the cry of a child. He smiled his signature evil smile and headed back towards it. Two children less then a year old was sitting in a crib like object one staring at him and the other threw a little block at Rod's head. He cast a body binding jinx on that one and picked the quiet one up. He cast a silencing spell on the room and sat down with the baby in his hands, waiting on it's mother to show. Rod had one last trail to follow about a would be traitor who had lived here a few years ago. If Rod was right, this was his two bastards. It was then that a woman barged in frantic. Rod smiled up at the woman, showing that his wand was pointed toward the baby's throat and smiled more. "Shhh." Rod whispered, mocking a coo-ing mother. "He's sleeping." And then he unleashed a cackling laugh much like his wive's. He'd had too much pratice at this.[/ul]

Did Sorcha lock the door? She was sure she did as she heard the bell ring. "I'm sorry, we're closed." She called out, putting a book of mythology into the proper place. She was thinking about the woman who almost stole the book, putting it down her shirt. Sorcha had quickly took it from her and quickly put a hex on her, binding her hands together and leaving the woman to hobble out of the shop. Which made Sorcha quite mad. The woman didn't look like she needed to steal but whatever.
The Boys! Whoever was in the shop had the boys! She dropped the books, running to the front of the shop. She stopped, seeing the man dressed so strangely holding Atticus.
"Shh, the babies sleeping" She heard him say, seeing the wand at her son's throat, also seeing her other son in a full body bind. Sorcha pulled out her own wand, ready to conjure something. The death eater mask made it hard to see who the man was but he was going to die if he thought he was going to hurt her child.
"I'm not here for trouble. Give me my child. Your fight's with me. Just, give me the child." She begged. Atticus looked to his mother, as if he knew he was in trouble. He opened his mouth as if to cry out but he was under a silencing charm. Sorcha raged.
"Accio Atticus." She cried out, catching her son in one fell scoop.
"Aguamenti" She called out, sending a fiece jet of water to hold off the man.
"Confundo!!" She called out, making the attacker confused. As he was recovering, she put her sons in the stack quickly, waiting for him to get up.
"Your fight is with me. And know that even if the Death Eaters won't fight fairly, The Order sure as hell will" She shouted.

The scream that Sorcha uttered at her child having the curse thrown at him was inhuman at best. Albus twicted and screamed like any adult would, looking almost doll-like when he finally stopped, knocked out from the pain. He wouldn't be effected too badly, he was too young to understand the pain, but Sorcha didn't care. She wanted to rip that man apart, to make him feel everything that her son felt and worse.
She turned to yell at him when she gasped. Of all the Death Eaters to come for her family, of all of the moments of hell, why did it have to be Rodolphus Lestrange?
"I don't know what Doug stole. When you bastards killed him, I went though all of his things and I didn't find anything with dark magic. Let me out." Sorcha screamed a slew of counter curses but she couldn't infeltrate. Atticus was looking around, seeing what his brother went though and let a thin cry loose. Sorcha pulled her son closer, Atticus' head against her chest in fear.
"Please, just don't hurt them. I don't know what you're talking about. Even if I did, this fire will spread. It'll burn whatever he hid and my shop. What kind of monster are you? We worked so hard for this shop. We put our lives into the shop." She cried out, tears pouring down her cheeks.
She remembered for a moment when they moved into the shop, Doug and her carrying all of their belongings into the second floor one hot summer day. They worked so hard, only for everything to be ruined.
"Go." She called out.
"The second floor. It's where we live. That's where it would be. Everything else was taken." She screamed.

The ten minutes that it took Rodolphus to look though her things were the longest ten minutes of her life. Sorcha winced as she heard the man look though all of her things, ripping her clothes, looking though everything. Atticus peered at his mother as if to ask why he did this. Sorcha could do nothing to comfort her son as she was struck there.
As the bastard came down, he released the jinx on the family, leaving Sorcha to grope for her wand.
What made her snap was Rodolphus saying that he would take one of her sons for a test subject.
"NO!! YOU'VE DONE ENOUGH!!! You're terrorized my family, you're tortured my baby, you set my shop on fire. What kind of monster are you?" She screamed, pointing her wand.
"CRUCIO" She screamed, laughing wildly.
"How does it feel? I hope you feel every bit of what that child felt, every bit of pain." She said, laughing wildly. She kicked him to add insult to it.
"What we stood for, Doug and I, was for a better future. And now I'm fighting for our children to have that future and I won't let a man like you stop me." She said, shouting "Expecto Patronum" sending an owl into the air, where she hoped it would reach above the roof where people would find it and help her chain him down.

In this wasn't a situation where her children's lives were in danger, she would laugh at the image of a big crocodile eating an owl in the sky. But this wasn't the time to laugh if her children could be fodder for new spells. She put her foot on his chest, whispering a full-body jinx as she went along. She desperately thought about what he was looking for. All she could think about was the one time her shop was attacked. But all she remembered was the attack and ending up in St. Mungo's. The big thing at the time was she almost miscarried that boys.
She kneeled down, her weight on this man. If she had him in her clutches only for a while, she was going to make this attack count.
"You know what your type of people are? Dirt. You say that muggles and mud-bloods are dirt, but it's you, with all of your inbreeding and your stuck up ways. My mother is a muggle, yes a muggle. She has more poise, more elegance in her little finger than in that trash wife of yours. I'd like to see your wife navigate upstate New York winters."
She smiled.
"Furthermore, I don't know what happened to your stupid locket. My shop was attacked last christmas and I don't know what happened since. So, what's next, Mr. Lestrange?" she mocked.

Sorcha knew she was in deep shit. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know that when you insulted a Lestrange, you were going to get tortured or worse. And that's all she could think about when Rodolphus put the counter curse on, throwing her into a wall.
When he got his hands on her son, she stood up, wand in hand. It was one of those moments since joining the Order when she knew she may die.
"Protectamora" She shouted, pointing at her sons. It was a protection charm she learned from her research (She lives in a bookshop, how could she not read some of the things) and learned of this protection charm. Even if she died tonight, her sons would be safe from unforgiveable curses. It was a spell that took a lot of magical energy and must be cast by a close family member. And in Sorcha's case, how could you get closer than carrying the boys around for nine months? At the end of it, she felt drained, as if she had run for weeks.
She raised her arms, covering herself from the curse when she felt a rush. Looking up, she saw Abeforth.
"Get out, you'll only be killed Abeforth!" She yelled.

Post by Aberforth (Albus) Dumbledore on Oct 4, 2011 18:41:14 GMT -5
Albus, constantly looking like his now dead brother Abeforth, was half way walking, half way waltzing down the road. He had been out on the town with some of who Albus found out was Abeforth's friends. Albus had never known that his brother had had any friends in any of these towns, seeming to be a loner since birth, and so was shocked beyond belief to find out so much about his brother. Shaking the thought from his head, he continued on with some of his new friends, pretending to be drunk, and having fun. The last few months had been boring for the brilliant man, and so he was glad, if not sad at the same time, to see a patronus soaring over one of the known order members shops. He kept reminding himself not to get involved. It was no longer his fight. But then out of no where, a crocodile the shade of midnight crashed through the roof of the same building and consumed the owl. 'Shit.' Albus thought. 'Powerful dark magic. Sorcha's in danger.' "I'll catch you guys later." Albus said, using Abeforth's voice. "I've got to go relieve the dragon if you know what I mean?" He smiled mischievously. He thought he heard, "More like a flubberworm." from one of the guys and the who lot snickering as he left but he didn't much care right then. Someone had to do something and it was expected that Abeforth help out if he could. As he walked into the burning store he was glad. If he were a moment later, she would be dead. "Deprimo." Albus thought, sending a non verbal wind at Rodolphus Lestrange, knocking him down and stopping the killing curse that was getting ready to fly from his wand. He looked at Sorcha and smiled. "Nonsense. This little pup can't kill an old dog like me. I've seen and fought better." He looked at Rod and smiled. "Been too long Lestrange. Don't you have a country to run or something?" It made Albus happy to know that Rod was shocked to see the old man so well informed. "Oh it's every day knowledge around here I'm sure. But anyway, I'm sure you had best be going. Wouldn't want any 'unfortunate accidents' now would we?"
