Alexa is what most would refer to as an Alpha Female. She will do whatever it takes to get what she wants or needs, and won't let anybody stand in her way. Most people tend to think she's a bit of an overdemanding bitch, and in all honesty she doesn't mind being thought of that way. It keeps people out of her hair. Alexa is a very sarcastic and demanding woman, when she requests something to be done she expects it to be done seconds later or it's taking too long. When she really cares for someone, she tends to insult them, and when she's first meeting someone... She tends to insult them. It's really hard to know where exactly you stand with her.
When it comes to matters dealing with war, Alexa could never sway, but she'll happily play pretend to appease whoever is surrounding her. She was a Slytherin for a reason, and aside from being dominating, it's most certainly got to do with her talent for manipulation. If she has to lie to get what she needs, she won't hesitate. If it weren't for her family's history of being Blood Traitors holding her back, Alexa would have made the perfect spy in the Death Eaters. Instead, she's infiltrating Les Feux to get information. But her biggest worry is getting sucked in a little too deep where she won't be able to back out.

Alexa was born shortly after her mother left Hogwarts, having no clue who her father was or how she was going to raise the child, Marlene left her to be raised by her own parents. She was still visited by her mother regularly, and for such a young baby it was easy to fall into the trap of believing that things were going to be just fine. Of course, per usual, the second you fall into that trap everything falls apart. Marlene heard the threat against her family's life and set out to protect them all as quick as she possibly could. She was only in time to hide Alexa away before, just as every other McKinnon before her, Marlene was murdered. The Death Eaters believes that she was the last in the line, and that the McKinnon family was offically gone.
Alexa was found by Auror Kingsley Shacklebolt while they were cleaning up the scene. She'd been hidden by a strong disillusionment and silencing charm, being three years old at the time, she was struck dumb as she watched everything she know get destroyed. Kingsley raised her from that point on, never with holding information when she sought it out, and allowing her to make desicions on her own terms without offering crude judgement or remarks. Life was simple, and she had only one goal in mind - revenge.
Really, Alexa has no clue who really killed her family, but she knows that once they realize they missed a McKinnon, they'll be after her. So she's game for making a scene and calling attention to herself, because she has every intention of defending her family's honor - or she will happily die trying, just as her mother had.
