Nessie is incredibly quiet, talking only when asked of her or when she really needs to. She's mature and responsible for her age, if not a little too much. She's afraid to let go and have fun in fear of something going wrong, and a lot of people believe her to be uptight. She's a perfectionist who strives only for the best, and sometimes she tends to push herself a bit too much. She's determined and brave, and as smart as it gets, always thinking up new witty comments to use when she needs to. She hardly complains and she's a very sweet girl, and she probably will lie to you if you ask her if that dress makes you look fat.
She couldn't hurt a fly if her life counted on it, but sometimes she can be judgemental. She keeps her comments to herself, as she's very insecure and gets shut down easily. A lot of times, the comments people make arent even mean, but she twists them so that they are in her mind. She constantly cuts herself down, and if she doesnt have someone to fall back on, she wouldn't know what to do with herself. She's dependent on those closest to her, and a lot of the times she doesnt know how to speak for herself. She gets frustrated by people easily and she cant play quidditch to save her life.

London, England

Vanessa Carson was born the fifth child of Alyssa and Benjamin Carson in London, England. Her mother was a muggle, if not a very attatched one, and her father a controlling wizard. He made all the decisions in the household, and Alyssa was just the mother who went along with it all. Growing up, the Carson children didnt get much attention, as their dad was always off working, and their mother depressed. Her mother had found out that Benjamin was cheating early on in their marriage, but she stayed with him anyways, even though their marriage was anything but happy. As the marriage progressed even more and still turned out to be the complete opposite of what Alyssa had imagined, her depression worsened. She barely spoke around the children, rarely ate, and most of the time just sat on the couch and stared at the TV, watching it, but not really watching it. The Carson children grew up mostly on their own, and they each took care of each other in their own way.
They all looked out for one another, made sure they each were fed, bathed, and clothed well. If one scraped their knee, the other would patch it up for them. They all seemed to fill the void for one another that was left in each of their hearts from the constant absence of their parents. Vanessa had always been increasingly dependent, so the absence of her parents affected her greatly. She felt the only people she had to fall back on were her siblings, and being the second to the youngest, she was soon left alone in the house with her younger sister, as all the rest were accepted into Hogwarts. She was lonely, but she stayed strong for her younger sister. When she was accepted into Hogwarts, she was estatic to get to see the rest of her siblings, but devestated that she was going to be leaving her little sister all alone. She wrote to her constantly while she was at Hogwarts, always trying to make her feel as though she wasnt alone. And when her younger sister got accepted into Hogwarts, it finally felt like everything was right again. Her parents rarely wrote them, but that was fine, considering they hadnt really been involved in their lives before, anyways.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day out, and because of that, Annie had decided to go down to the lake. She had absolutely no idea what she would do down there, but she was tired of being cooped up in her dormitory with her fellow room mates. She loved them death, she always would, but some of them could drive her insane within minutes. Jennifer was one that irked her occassionally, but then again, most of them did. Everyone always assumed that just because they were girls, there was tons of drama, and sometimes, there was. But most of the time, they were just like guys- occasionally sick of each other, but all in all, they were friends.
Being around them made her miss home terribly, and she realized that, right about then, she would've been attending plenty of dinner parties with her parents. But, mostly, she would've been attending the one with the DeBuoires. Her parents were at it, and they had written her, telling her who was going to be attending, etc. Annie missed it all like never before, and honestly, she didnt really want to be at Hogwarts right about then. In fact, home sounded nice, but she knew that wasnt happening anytime soon. Afterall, wasnt her education more important? 'Not really.' She sighed, walking softly along the grass. She had decided on leaving her hair down and throwing on her sweatpants and a t-shirt. Annie really wasnt the type for dressing up, and almost everyone knew that.
She eventually decided to sit down, pulling her knees up to her chest carefully. Her back still hurt a bit from where she had tripped over a root the last time she'd been on the grounds, but it was slowly healing, and she knew the pain wouldnt last that long, anyways. Annie wasn't usually one for clumsiness, instead opting for grace, but she'd been looking for the perfect doodling spot, and definitely hadn't been paying attention.. A song quickly caught in her head, and she began humming to it, lost in the sight of the lake in front of her.
