Desdemona is a girl who will fight tooth and nail to prove the innocent of others - even if they aren't so innocent in the first place. She is incredibly gullible, and she will trust what someone tells her without question, especially if they are someone that she cares about. Because of this she is often being manipualted to stand up for people who are guilty, and is mocked consistantly for being so trusting and naive.
Her temper is one thing that is set off easily, and she has never been able to control it. She is incredibly violent, and tends to lash out randomly. Desdemona will not let it known when she is angered, instead she pulls back and waits everything out, but sure enough days later she will finally snap at something small and it is an explosion that can be heard all around Hogwart's Campus. Most people who don't realize that she has a temper that builds and waits believe that she is uncontrollable and probably a little bit crazy, but for those who have come to understand her, they have learned to just stay off her bad side and away from her when the fuse is lit.

Daniel Gabor and Iris Simmonds married young and fresh out of Hogwarts, by which time he had already been an active member of the Death Eater's for a long time. Her father had paired the two together after learning that they'd known each other, and the plan was to use the wedding as an attack on the Ministry, inviting every major Auror and Order member that they knew of. Shortly after the vows were shared, the attack was launched. Iris made it out before she was hurt, but just hours after being married, Daniel was arrested and set for life in Azkaban.
It was around this time that Iris realized she was pregnant. She visited him in the cell regularly, until eventually she couldn't take the Dementor's presence anymore. For the first two years of her life, Delphyne was raised by her mother, a shut in living off of her family money. Just days after her third birthday however, her father was released - claiming the use of the Imperius curse throughout the duration of the war, the Aurors found him innocent and allowed him to return to his family.
The family dynamic however, would never quite be the same. Azkaban had already taken it's toll on Daniel Gabor, sending him into a spiraling case of depression that could not be stopped. He would snap out of reality just as quickly as he would blink, disappear and wander aimlessly around the manor like a ghost from years past. By the time the Delphyne was 11, while she was at Hogwarts, she received the news that anyone would know was inevitable. Daniel Gabor had killed himself. Delphyne, always a father's girl at heart, would continue to grieve over the loss to this day, but for her mother's sake she never shows her pain.
Delphyne being both gullible and violent, supports her mother with striking force. Anyone who tries to make a statement against the woman has a lot to deal with coming from the young Ravenclaw.
