It was almost a week since the attack on the Ministry. By now, Alyssa had hoped to be free, to be able to walk out of that godforsaken place, and never look back again. She'd hoped that at the very least, Amelia Cosette would be locked up behind bars somewhere. What she hadn't counted on, what nobody had counted on, apparently, was betrayel from one of the key people in the whole operation. How stupid were they, not to take precautions to make sure that something like that didn't happen? Of course, Aly was not involved in the planning of the actual attack; her job was to make sure the Death Eaters' arrival into the Ministry went smoothly, and to make sure a certain someone would be able to get out quietly and safely. She did her part; the Lestranges and the rest of the Death Eaters screwed up theirs. Without the Dark Lord, it was obvious that things weren't about to get any better for his 'loyal' followers.
Alyssa had contemplated several courses of action later that night, once the attack was over and everyone could breathe. It didn't take her long to realise that she basically only had two options: she could run away and hide, change her name, do anything, or she could stay and see Amelia Cosette's downfall through. Aly didn't think her 'accomplice' would let her keep on going with her life as if nothing happened; he would probably rat her out at the slightest hint that she wasn't on his side anymore. She knew there would come a time when that had to happen, but she wasn't currently prepared. She just needed a little more time. Fortunately, Amelia didn't seem to suspect a betrayel from Alyssa anymore than she suspected it from anyone else. The woman was just naturally paranoid; you had to be, when you're on top.
Currently, Alyssa stood a short distance away from Knockturn Alley, where there were some dark woods, and most importantly, where she wouldn't be spotted by anyone. It wouldn't matter anyway; she had a full disguise on. Aly ran her fingers through her unfamiliar blonde hair, and restrained herself from sighing in annoyance. She really hated this person she was currently impersonating; her body felt so....unnatural. But it wasn't going to be long, hopefully; she scanned the area for signs of her 'accomplice' carefully.

Not to sound like a complete looser, but Scabior's week had been hell. After the failed attack on the Mistress's life, Amelia had become even more paranoid. He didn't know if it had to do with the fact that she knew someone in her inner circle had betrayed her or the fact that Asher had been one of the men who had betrayed her trust. It wasn't easily... no almost impossible... to get the trust of Amelia Cosette and even then she didn't really trust you. It was more of a, "I don't care about what I'm telling you but if you tell anyone I will smoother you in pink glitter." kind of deal.
Anyway, he didn't have to worry about his job at the moment. She was paranoid which worked to Scabior's best interest. As long as she was this paranoid she would need to keep her friends close and her enemies closer. What she didn't know however, was what Scabior classified himself as. While around her, Scabior was still a loyal friend and would be lover, that was just too good to give up willingly. But when he was safe from her presence, Scabior hated her. She had used him for so many years and then just thrown his love asunder when she found her old trinket and been revamped and shook in front of her face. Asher had been her new play thing for weeks and then he had done what he shouldn't have and Scabior would never had if the situation would have allowed it.
He betrayed her. cornered her during the ball, dueling as a member of the other faction besides what was being known as the Bellaminions. The Dragon Corp. was testing out the new Mistress it seemed and all hell was breaking out. But now was the time for Scabior to act. No longer would he let her use his love for her against him. He had allowed Amelia her last game. Now he was down to business. She would rue the day she was caught having her way with her body whore...I mean body guard. Scabior was walking Knockturn Alley waiting on his informant to get there. It wasn't really HIS informant really, but the one who had given him is so called mission and disapparation point afterwards, so it was really his new boss. He never knew what to expect and she or he always came in a different guise and voice.
He decided to sit down in a back alley and wait for his new boss to show up. It was then that a girl with annoying blonde hair appeared beside him.
"Scabior." It was all she said, but it was all he needed. The boss was here and it was time to get things going.

Alyssa finally zoned in on her target; James Scabior. She would obviously recognize him anywhere; the amount of time he spent around Amelia ever since Alyssa started working for her was indicitive of how close the two were. Or at least, how close Scabior thought he was to Amelia. But he chould have known better than to trust Amelia Cosette, he should have been wise enough to know that the crazy bitch only kept you close so long as you were useful to her. Once she was done with you, you would either be disposed off swiftly, or put back on the shelf for when she needs you again. Alyssa figured Scabior was probably the second one, but still, he was concerned for his safety, which meant that maybe Amelia wouldn't hesitate to kill him if she found out what part he played in the attack.
Fortunately, hre disguise was perfect, because Aly knew Scabior would probably recognize. She was basically Amelia's brain when it came to running day-to-day things in the Ministry. The woman barely did any of the exhausting, annoying, boring paperwork, some of which, she remembered with an inward groan, was still sitting at her desk, waiting for her in the office. Nevermind, she would deal with that later.
"James Scabior," Alyssa said, almost wincing at how annoying her voice sounded. Gah, she hated residing in this woman's body. "Who would have thought, after all you've done for our dear mistress, you'd be the one to betray her?" Alyssa wasn't too concerned about people hearing them; she had charmed the area around them with a spell so that whatever was said within twenty feet of her, could not be heard. Yeah, unlike the Death Eaters and Amelia, she was always prepared.....or so she liked to think.

Scabior recognized the woman right off the bat. She was the one who had given him the access point to apparate away during the attack. He found it extremely annoying that he couldn't place her face or voice to anyone at the Ministry and he was in the higher ups. If anyone had info on the Mistress, he would know of it. Obviously there was more to this woman then met the eye. Which Scabior was glad for because that woman's voice was like nails on a chalkboard. She reminded him of Fran off of a muggle television show called "The Nanny." It was just so annoying that you wanted to shove splinters in your fingernails to escape from the pain of her voice.
"You play a dangerous game." Scabior said, his voice gaining a hint of anger and his eye a gleam of power. "Accusing me of betraying the Ministry is something I believe I haven't done yet. To say I have betrayed my Masters? That, my dear, is something quite different. Let's just say that we all know that Cosette is not all that she appears to be."
Scabby didn't know how much he could give away to this woman without breaking the contract he had signed with Amelia almost a year ago. He could give away so much information on the plans of Les Feux but to out right give away Amelia's name or other information like that would most likely kill him. Scabior was good at what he did, but he was never one to understand the legalities of magical contracts.
"Let's just get down to business and skip the small talk." Scabby said. "I'd usually play with you for a while, but I don't have such luxury right now. The Mistress has me on a short chain even though she knows I didn't have anything to do with it."
Scabby put power into the word knows to prove a point that Amelia wasn't as all knowing and powerful as she claimed to be. Deep down inside, past all the glitter and fluffy lies, layed a human being just like anyone else. Sure, she was evil, but she was still human and prone to faults and failures.

At any given day, Alyssa wouldn't even dream of talking to James Scabior, let alone joining him in some sort of deal, or whatever this was. As he spoke in that 'you-know-I'm-so-much-tougher-than-you-I-can-totally-kill-you-right-now' tone, she was reminded of why that is. He really had no idea who she was. If he did, Alyssa knew he would find taking her seriously as the person who was working to bring Amelia down as a laughable idea. After all, none of the members of Les Feux took Aly seriously. They all thought she was a worthless weakling, because she came to the group seeking protection, only to find out that her long-time rival was the one running things. Of course, that meant enslavement for Aly for as long as she needed Amelia's protection. Well, technically, with the Dark Lord's demise, she didn't need Amelia now, but she was well aware that her life would still be in just as much jeoprady as before if she let the pink-haired freak realise that she even so much as considered leaving her.
Really, Aly and Scabior were on the same boat, and she hated it. Admittedly, the man was foolish, just like every other male; he fell for Amelia and got scorned. He should have known better. But she still needed him.....for now at least. Alyssa crossed her arms together, raising an eyebrow, and said, "Well, what is it exactly that you need from me, Scabior? Protection? Information? Connections? Obviously, as I proved a few nights ago, I have access to all that and more. What I need to know is what exactly am I getting in return. What's stopping me from ratting you out right now to Cosette?"

Scabior looked the woman up and down again. He made opinions of people rather quickly sometimes, but not without just cause. This woman was throwing off all kinds of wrong signals to Scabby. He made up his mind that he didn't like her one bit but that, for the time being, had to trust her. 'Doesn't mean I have to turn my back to her though.' Scabior thought chuckling mentally.
Sudden thoughts of Amelia came to him then. Of them being younger and Scabior watching Amelia as she became paranoid about her own shadow. Death Eaters thought she became paranoid when she became the dark lord's favorite during the first war. They were idiots. Only Scabior knew so much about Amelia. Only Scabby knew of her deepest child like self. Scabior knew more then any man alive what Amelia was. And yet, for reasons Scabior didn't quite realize, she was still a stranger to him. The Amelia he knew wasn't like this. She was never kind, no that couldn't be said about her, but she was different. More innocent he guessed. There wasn't a word created that could describe Cosette back then. Even if there was, that word would have been destroyed when Amelia destroyed her past. Long gone like leaves caught in the wind.
Scabior came to and looked at the girl again. "I need easy access to her room tomorrow." Scabior said. "I need her room empty of any guards, and I need silencers put on the hall ways leading up to her office along with a silencer put on the waiting area. She's not to know I'm coming. I've decided to put in my resignation if you catch my drift." Scabior smirked. "You'll get what I need and help me because we're in the same boat. I don't know who you are, but I know your not who you claim to be. Your more. ONly someone from the inside could have gotten me that site when I needed it. Don't count me a fool. I'll be helping to get rid of Madame 'I'm better then thou' which is what you want as well. I can see it in your eyes, don't deny it. If you help me, I'm helping you. Win/win ya know. That gonna be too hard for ya?"
