It has been twenty-three years since the fall Voldemort. The wizarding world is quiet and peaceful. Harry Potter’s scar has not burned him since his seventeenth year. However all this time the Potter family has been hiding a secret from their eldest son.
Sixteen years ago, Draco Malfoy was upset with Astoria for being thick headed about not wanting to give him the thing he wanted the most, a son. So, he stormed out of the house and made his way to Diagon Ally. It was there that he ran into Ginny Weasley. Needing to get rid of his sexual frustration, he shoved her in the nearest ally and had his way with her. Leaving her there alone. She went home to find out a month later she was going to give birth to her first son. Telling Harry the news he was happy that he was going to at long last be a father. Taking a deep breath Ginny told him that it might not be his, it could be Draco‘s as she explained to him what happened. Devastated he waited until little James was born. Getting the test to see if he was really his father. The test said Harry was not James’ father. Ginny and Harry felt that it was best that they not tell anyone about this tragedy, so they kept it a secret.
The following year Albus was born. And two years later Lily. Both Ginny and Harry kept it a secret as their they watched their children grow up. As James grew, he felt different from the rest of his family. All of them, his parents, his siblings, his aunts and uncles and cousins. James felt like there was something missing in his life he wasn’t sure what it was. However, he told no one and just kept on going, trying to the be the ideal son. But no matter what he did that feeling inside remained.
Then James came of age to go to Hogwarts. There he felt that, perhaps, he could find out what was really missing. While getting sorted into the same house as his parents, the sorting hat told him ‘you would do well in Slytherin, but you shall be a Gryffindor’ With those words ringing though his thoughts the eleven year old boy started to get more curious of why the hat would say such things. Was he really not a Potter? Casting these thoughts out of his mind James made the best of his time at Hogwarts. The following year, his brother joined him. He teased him about being able to be put in Slytherin. Time passed by again, and before they knew it Lily joined them at Hogwarts, and was sorted into Ravenclaw.
By the time James got to his fifth year at Hogwarts he was more curious about who he was. So he set off to the library, and started looking though books. This was the defining moment in his life. While there he pulled a book of the shelf that was titled 'Obscurum Intus'. It seemed to be written in all Latin. James sat there trying to read it, only being able to understand one incantation in the book. When he said it aloud he was suddunly thrown back against the shelves, feeling something dark enter him. That was that moment that everything slowly began to make since. He was not a Potter, he was the one destined to be come the new dark lord. James spent the rest of his fifth year in the library reading everything he could about the fallen dark lord. Wondering the whole time who his real parents were.
It is now the beginning of his sixth year at Hogwarts. James is determined to find out who his real father is. When he asked his parents about it they wouldn’t tell him anything. Growling he stormed out of the house and spent the rest of his summer with Teddy. Now, back at Hogwarts, James wants the real answers. He decided that he will find them and he will take down his parents for lying to him, for all of his life.
