You told me how proud you were but I walked away
If only I knew what I know today
I would hold you in my arms
I would take the pain away
Thank you for all you've done
Forgive all your mistakes
There's nothing I wouldn't do
To hear your voice again
Sometimes I want to call you but I know you won't be there
I'm sorry for blaming you for everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself by hurting you
Some days I feel broke inside but I won't admit
Sometimes I just want to hide 'cause it's you I miss
You know it's so hard to say goodbye when it comes to this)

Overall appearance:
Rosaline is a little bit on the short side, but not drastically so. She's rather skinny, and in fact, lately, she's been having issues with this one aspect of her life. She is somewhat slowly losing her appetite, and at times, she has to be reminded to eat. However, she isn't in any danger yet. Her body is toned from playing Quidditch when in Hogwarts, and occasionally with her brothers and cousin.
She dresses rather well, and she sort of has to, being a famous musician, but her sophisticated style has been with her since she was rather young. She loves shopping and dressing in expensive clothing, but once in a while, you could catch her in sweatpants and a t-shirt.
Her hair is long, and falls with random curls here and there. It is usually blonde, but as she is a metamorphagus, sometimes, she transforms it to darker shades.

[/size]Erised: Rose wants more than anything to go back in time and change the way she reacted to having a son. She would do anything to get Max back.
Patronus: it takes the form of an eagle.
Her happiest memory is when she was fifteen, and first got her chance to enter the music business.
Boggart: Rosaline's biggest fear is to lose her voice, and in turn, her singing ability. Music is literally the only thing keeping her sane at this point; it's her channel to the outer world, her way of letting her feelings out, and if she were to lose that, she would lose her mind, from bottling everything up.
Dementor: Rosaline's worst memory was in her fourth year, when she and her brothers were summoned home, only to walk in and find her father's dead body, sprawled on the carpet, his eyes wide open and lifeless.
Amortentia: musk, the ocean, and strawberries

Overall Personality:
Rosaline Laurence is quite a complex person. There are two versions of her, not in a bipolar way, but more in a what she lets others see and what she tries to hide. To those who know her for a while, they know she likes to put up a very convincing front of a carefree, self-centered, slightly bitchy girl. She's very outgoing and loves to have fun as much as she can. She enjoys a good party, and a chance to let it all go and just have crazy wild fun. Rose loves flirting with and meeting hot guys. She has a way of charming the male species, and she usually manages to get her way with them. It helps when you're a famous popstar, off course. That, off course, is what she lets others see. While Rose is very much all those things, she's currently going through a really dark phase, but no one other than her family can see this, and even they only geta glimpse of the darkness behind the bubbly mask.
Rosaline tends to be rather strong, and take on a lot before she finally cracks down. She's been through quite an emotional roller coaster ever since she was thirteen, but she only ever broke down when alone, or with less than a handful of her closest family. She feels that breaking down, and showing how vulnerable she can be is a tremendous weakness, and to her, being weak is bad. In addition to that, you'll be hard-pressed to ever see Rose bending down to anyone's will, ever. Even when threatened with the worst possible things, Rose would never do something that she didn't want to do, or that put her pride or her interests in jeoprady. This sometimes costs her quite a lot, but she just can't help it.
Rose is also a bit of a bitch, to, well, everyone. However, this is just her way of treating everyone, and those who have known her for a while know that she doesn't usually mean to offend people. Yeah, sometimes she does, but most of the time, it's just the way she is. Off course, that doesn't do wonders for her with friends, and she doesn't really have many close friends.
Rose can sometimes be selfish and sneaky. Well, okay, she's almost always sneaky, but lately, she hasn't really found a reason to be so. Everything's working out quite well for her, at least in her career, which is the most important thing in her life at the moment.

History:
Rosaline Alexis Laurence was born twenty two years ago to Nicolas Laurence and his mistress, Reine Stephane. However, up until her thirteenth birthday, Rose and the entire Wizarding World was under the belief that she was the daughter of Nicolas and his wife, Joelle. Reine Stephane was a spy to a secret French organization who were interested in gaining information that the British Department of Mysteries had, so they sent Reine to work there as an Unspeakable, and try to get her hands on the information. She was going about her job rather well, but then suspicions begun to arise about her and what her true intentions were. Realising this, Reine decided that she needed a strong ally within the Ministry to stay safe. She found that in Nicolas Laurence, whose father, Andre Laurence, was the French Minister of Magic.
She seduced him, using Amortentia and her natural beauty, and succeeded, for some time, at distracting him from his wife, and even his two sons. But, unfortunately for her, Nicolas was able to break away from the effects of the amortentia, right around the time that the Ministry had proof that Reine was a spy. She was going to be sent to Azkaban, for sure. That was, she was, until her pregnancy was discovered; there was no way the Ministry could subject a child to the influence of Dementors, so they allowed Reine Stephane
to stay outside, under surviellance, until the baby was born. Meanwhile, Nicolas and Joelle came to the agreement that they were going to take the baby and raise it as their own, while Reine's spy friends managed to pull some strings. After the baby, Rosaline, was born, she was sent to live with Joelle and Nicolas, while Reine managed to get out of Azkaban after only two months. She then disappeared and would not be heard of until almost fourteen years later.
Rosaline and her brothers and basically anyone who wasn't Nicolas, his father, or Joelle, grew up thinking that Rose was the couple's daughter, Joelle's daughter as well. She was very attached to her father growing up, much more so than she was to Joelle, and he in turn spoiled her rotten. There was nothing that little Rosey asked for that she didn't get, it was almost a crime. Perhaps that was what made the relationship between Rose and Joelle tense; she needed to be the strict parent, as Nicolas simply melted whenever Rose began to pout or whine. She still loved her mother, but being a child, she resented the stern treatment. Rose also got along very well with her brothers; Luke and her were the little troublemakers, while Jacques was more of the advisor, the protector. Later, however, when they entered Hogwarts, Luke became increasingly more protective of his sister, with good reason.
The last two years before she left to Hogwarts were the most boring for Rose. But they were probably the two years that she truly became attached to her father; he was the only 'friend' she had, since Jacques and Lucas were at Hogwarts. When she did end up going to Hogwarts, Rosaline's sneakiness and ambition landed her in the house of the snakes, which proved a little tricky for her brother, Lucas, to accept at first, being a Gryffindor himself. It was during these few weeks that Lucas was uneasy with her house placement that Rose and Jacques truly bonded. Her other brother was a Ravenclaw, and she got along with him much better for that short period. Fortunately, Lucas soon came to the realisation that it didn't matter what his little sister was; she was always going to be Little Rosey.
Rosaline made quick friends in Slytherin, and rose up the popularity ladder rather quickly, at least among her year. In third year, she began to attract the eyes of the male population, and many of them caught her eyes too. By the end of winter, she was entering an interesting and fun -to her, at least- game with a Ravenclaw one year older than her. Alexander Cosette was an interesting guy; he was strange, yes, but he was funny and nice. By Valentine's day, the two of them had decided to be a couple, or whatever that was in a 13 years old girl's mind.
However, things were about to get interesting soon. Around one month after Rose and Alexander began dating, she found out the truth about Reine Stephane. The woman was in need for a little bit of cash, and she had run out of sources, so she decided to go to Nicolas. Reine threatened to reveal herself to their daughter, if Nicolas didn't give her the money she needed. After thinking about it, and talking to Joelle, Nicolas decided that maybe it was about time his daughter found out the truth. And so he asked her to meet him in Hogsmeade, where, flustered and nervous, he told her the entire story. She was very distressed, and she refused to believe it at first. But then, Reine appeared, having been spying on Nicolas, and Rose could not deny the fact that she looked quite a lot like this woman. It explained so much, but it destroyed every idea she had about her parents. Rosaline didn't know who she was anymore. She refused to speak to Nicolas or Joelle, and blatantly ignored Reine. Her only friends were her brother, Jacques and Lucas, and her boyfriend, Alexander.
It was during this time that Rose truly began to take an interest in her musical talents. She had always loved to sing, and attempted to write her own songs, but the depression phase she went through helped her find an outlet. Music was her new medicine. She could pour her heart into the lyrics and music, and just sing it all away. She had never been very good at talking about things, or expressing herself, but singing helped her let it all out. She quickly realised that she really did love singing. It was her new love.
Things between her and Nicolas had not gotten much better, despite the countless boxes of presents he sent, or well, anything. She just wouldn't budge. Eventually, she began talking to him again, but she was much more closed off than she ever was before with him. In fact, she was kind of more distant with everyone, even Alexander. Unfortunately, that relationship was about to get destroyed soon enough.
It was January, of her fourth year, when Rose and her brothers were called into the Headmaster's office late one night. They were told that their mother wanted them at home, and all three of them were very confused; they had just gotten back from their Winter break, after all. When Rose and the boys reached the Laurence Mansion, it was swarming with Aurors and other Ministry officials. The curious girls pushed her way into the living room, despite several people's attempts to stop her. What she was about to see was burned into her memory forever. Her father's lifeless body, sprawled across the carpet, with cuts, bruises, and blood everywhere and his eyes, empty and wide open. She would never forget that scene, not till she dies. It was the night her life changed forever. And finding out who did it made everything a million times worse: Bethany Cosette, Alexander's mother. Her boyfriend's mother murdered Rose's father. The Ministry was unable to catch the woman, and to this day, no one knows why she did what she did, or what Nicolas had ever done to her.
Rosaline returned to Hogwarts a week later, a completely different person. She wasn't the social, upbeat, sarcastic princess she used to be. She was quiet, cold, reserved. Most people were unsure of how to deal with her, but no one was in a more difficult situation than Alexander. What was he supposed to say to the girl whose father was murdered by his mother? Things were quiet between them for a while, but Rose couldn't do it. She knew Alex probably had nothing to do with it, that he wasn't his mother, but she couldn't help it. Everytime she saw him, she wanted him to suffer like she was. She became increasingly nasty with him, and their fights became many. Eventually, Rose began to cheat on him; why break up with him if she could hurt him more by cheating? Alexander did find out, and needless to say, that was that for the two of them. After Alexander, Rose would only have one other longterm relationship which would end rather messily.
The rest of fourth year passed, and with music and a general cold and distant attitude towards the world, Rose managed to at least put up the act of a girl who was healing. She wasn't anywhere near it, and she still isn't, but to this day, she puts on an excellent act, that even she herself believes sometimes. However, Rose did change after the death of Nicolas; she became meaner, more competitive, and most importantly, much much more sluttier. She seemed to go through guys like tissues, and she didn't mind it at all. Fifth year did provide Rose with a distraction, and later on, an opportunity that would change her life yet again, but this time for the better.
It was the year 1988, and Hogwarts was trying something new: a Talent Show. Rosaline's eyes were set on the prize, and she wanted to win, so so badly. She had great chances too, and if she had just stuck to perfecting her music and singing, she would have won. But Rose didn't want to leave anything to chance; she had to win. And so, with the help of her new manwhore-ish friend, Austin Selwyn, Rose began sabotaging the other competitors in the Talent Show. However, when one of the dancers almost got seriously injured, Rose was kicked out of the Talent Show. To make matters even worse for her, her punishment -in addition to detention- was to help out the current competitors perfect whatever talent they were doing, under supervision too. Rosaline hated the idea of helping someone perform better, when she firmly believed that she should be the one up there, singing her heart out. But, unbeknown to her, these rehearsals were being watched by a few of the judges from time to time. One of those judges was a music manager who saw great money-making opportunities in the little blonde girl. He was rather upset when he found out that she would not be competing after all, but there was money in the equation; he wasn't going to let a little obstacle stand in his way. The manager arranged to meet Rosaline, and offered her a way into the music business in the Wizarding World. It wasn't going to be too hard; the girl had a voice in her. By the end of the year, Rosaline had an album ready for release.
Music was her new escape, her new paradise. But as usual, something was messing with that; Joelle was dating another guy. It had barely been a year since her father died! Rosaline was appalled, and at one point, the fighting reached a point where she couldn't stay in the house anymore. Rose left, with nowhere to go. Well, actually, that wasn't true, but she wasn't comfortable going anywhere else. Fortunately for her, she remembered one person who tended to be forgotten in her family. Her father's youngest brother, Uncle Ethan, who lived alone with his son, Ryan. Rose sought refuge there, and fortunately for her, things with her uncle worked out well enough that by the end of the summer, he had issued adoption papers. That went rather smoothly, as technically, he was the only fit adult blood relative she had left -aside from Reine who truly wanted nothing to do with her daughter.
Rose's sixth year was cut short rather quickly; by November, she had managed to convince Ethan to let her drop out of Hogwarts, and pursue her music career. Her name had become well-known around the Wizarding World since then. However, with fame, came a new lifestyle, and Rose rather liked this new lifestyle. She was partying much more than she used to, hooking up with random guys that she would never see again, and music sort of started falling to the side with this new life style. This would come to a halt, however, when Rosaline discovered that, at sixteen, she was pregnant. The father was a guy four years older than her, by the name of Justin Rosier. Rose knew Justin wouldn't be interested in the baby or her, so she thought quickly, and decided to tell another guy, a good friend of herse that she had slept with after one too many drinks, that the baby was his. Jason Watson -the friend- was shocked, but, being a much kinder guy than Justin, he stuck around. However, Rose did have a bit of a heart, and thinking back to her own history, she couldn't have the baby and lie to him or her about their father, the same way her parents had lied to her about her mother. About a month before she had the baby, Rosaline came clean to Jason about everything. He was angry, as expected, and refused to talk to her for a long while, until after she had the baby: a healthy baby boy, who she names Maximilian Ethan Laurence.
For the two or so years that Max lived with the Laurences, he was raised greatly by Ethan and his wife. Rose just didn't have what it took to be a mother; she loved the baby boy, but she simply couldn't put behind her career, especially since she had come so close to losing it during her pregnancy. However, at seventeen, she still managed, with great difficulty, to pull her reputation and career up from its slump, and began dominating the music industry once more.
Meanwhile, everyone wanted a little bit of the fame and wealth, and Justin Rosier was not an exception. He came back into Rose's life when Max was two years and six months old, and demanded he get custody of the boy, claiming that Rose was an unfit mother. He blackmailed her, asking for large amounts of money in return for him not asking for custody. Rose was puzzled as to how he found out Max was his in the first place, but it all became clear soon enough. One of her friends -former friend after what he did- Austin Selwyn, informed Justin of his fatherhood, after prying the information sneakily from Rosaline herself. However, despite the threats Justin made, Rose refused to give him what he wanted. He knew there was nothing he could do, so one day, he managed to get his hands on Max, and kidnapped him. Rose, with the help of a threatened and traumatized Austin, found Justin, in a hut in forest in Scotland. After much arguing and threats, Justin knew there was no way to win; he told her that he lost Max somewhere in Muggle London, weeks ago. Rose, and the entire Laurence family, spent months looking for Max, but to no avail. After more than a year, they all lost hope in finding him alive, except for Rose. She still believed he's out there somewhere, and fuelled by guilt, she still spent so much money and effort trying trying to find him, until the Ministry told her that they believed the found the remains of a child, and that they were pretty sure it was Max. That was when Rose lost all hopes, and succumbed to the guilt and devastation. It was very much like when she lost her father, and once more, the only good thing in her life seems to be her music career.
However, what no one but Justin Rosier knows is that Max is not, in fact, dead. No, he knew that Rose wasn't going to give in to his threats, so his new goal was to hurt her as badly as he could. Yet he couldn't simply kill a child. Instead, he deposited Max in a Muggle orphanage, under the name of Max Ryans. Max is now five years old, and he still lives in the orphanage, while Rosaline is twenty two, a successful musician, but a woman who's unsure what her purpose in life is, and she's very close to breaking down. The happy, content act she puts on is cracking, and with the coming war, she's not sure how much longer she can keep doing this.
