Eyes: Warm, almond shaped brown-speckles hazel eyes.
Hair: Bushy, frizzy light brown hair.
Height: 5ft 5 inches.
Weight: 120lbs.
Distinguishing Features(if any): She used to have rather large, bucked teeth but after an incident in her earlier years, she eradicated this problem and now have normal sized, straight teeth. No other distinguishing features.
Play-by: Emma Watson.
Overall appearance: Hermione is what one might name pretty but she tends to lose the image of being one of the beautiful girls because she doesn’t take great care in her overall appearance. Her hair, which naturally is very bushy, is usually tamed by being worn up in a ponytail during lessons and clipped back on the weekends. She rarely does anything exciting to her hair, the one exception being the Yule Ball where she used Sleekeazy’s Hair Potion to calm it and make it sleek and straight, but she later told Harry and Ron that it was too much fuss for everyday wear.
Like the rest of the school, Hermione wears the usual black robes to lessons. However, unlike the other girls, she doesn’t object to being told what to wear. In fact she agrees with strict school dress guidelines because she fears if it were casual clothes, the focus would be taken away from learning. However, at the weekends, Hermione can usually be found in jeans and cardigans with little plain t-shirts. Her look overall is very British and very traditional; she doesn’t stray very far or experiment with her clothes—this probably comes from being brought up in a good household with two respectable, dentist parents.
Hermione doesn’t wear make-up. This isn’t a bad thing, though, because Hermione is naturally pretty with wide, almond-shaped eyes framed with long lashes and good facial structure. One may say that Hermione appears to be a snob because her nose has the slightest upturn but this is purely down to genetics and she, herself, would never look down upon a person.
Naturally, Hermione is of a slender build and has always had a slim frame, but she would never have had the chance to become fat as a child because her parents didn’t let her eat sugary sweets and they were both very fond of outdoor activities, like skiing and camping. She isn’t very tall but has yet to experience a growth spurt, at the minute residing around 5ft 5inches, Hermione isn’t self-conscious of her weight or height.
Whilst younger, Hermione had buck teeth and under the pressure of her parents, wore braces instead of magicking her teeth to perfection. However, in one of her younger years, Draco Malfoy performed a teeth enlargement charm upon her teeth and as Madam Pomfrey was fixing her, Hermione let her teeth shrink until she believed them to be a good size. Now she has a lovely, white, straight smile, something her parents are very proud of.

Erised: Since first year, Hermione’s image in the Mirror of Erised would be her, standing smiling at herself, beautiful with a gleaming Head Girl badge, but recently she realizes it would either be that or of herself, Ron and Harry happy, unscathed with Lord Voldemort gone.
Patronus: Hermione’s happiest memory is of receiving her letter of admittance to Hogwarts because she felt she had won her place there and felt privileged and excited to be going to a school of magic. Her Patronus takes the form of an otter, which symbolizes how she is active in voicing her opinions and making a stand and are very solitary, much like Hermione, sometimes.
Boggart: Hermione’s Boggart would take the form of Professor McGonagall looming towards her, telling her what she had failed all of her exams and that she was extremely disappointed. The Boggart would be failure.
Dementor: The worst memory Hermione has was when she was nine and she failed a spelling test. It was the first and only time that she’s failed something and it was, as she recalls, the worst experience of her life.
Amortentia: New parchment, freshly mown grass and the perfume that Ron gave her as a present (though she would never admit the last scent to anyone).

Likes: Spending hours in the library reading books, DADA lessons with Professor Lupin, making hats and socks for house-elves, S.P.E.W, writing on new parchment, going on trips to Hogsmeade, meeting up with Harry and Ron in Diagon Alley before going to Hogwarts, the Hogwarts Express, taking trips down to Hagrid’s, Arithmancy, when she gets praised, the Welcoming Feast, being a prefect, friendship, Harry and Ron, the Gryffindor common room and fire, butterbeer camping, skiing and freshly mown grass.
Dislikes: Draco Malfoy, when Harry gets better marks than her in DADA, when people cheat or lie, Lavender Brown and Parvati Patil’s constant gossiping, when people call her a ‘know-it-all’, rude people, Divination, Professor Trelawney, people questioning her being placed into Gryffindor, flying on broomsticks, when the library’s closed, Slytherins in general, fighting with Ron or Harry, being stuck indoors and being bored.
Strengths: Good head for logic and understanding; like in first year when she needed to solve the riddle of the potions to get to the Philosopher’s Stone. Not backing down because people say it’s not worth it; for example, the way she kept on about S.P.E.W. and elf rights. She has a good, kind heart and is extremely loyal towards her friends and House.
Weaknesses: Can sometimes be narrow-minded. If a book doesn’t say something, she can’t do something against the rules. Hermione is very emotional; sometimes too emotional, as she takes everything to heart.
Overall Personality: Hermione is one of the bravest, kindest and loyalist friends in the world. If she knew something she did could help her friends out of trouble, Hermione would do it with a willing heart and take the consequences herself. Despite the quarrels she often has with fellow best friend, Ron, she always in the end makes up with him because she can’t hold grudges for much longer than a couple of weeks.
She is very studious and will spent hours at a time studying in the library. She makes herself and her friends’ revision timetables for any test and will study for weeks before it, to make sure she gets the best possible marks. Many people question why Hermione wasn’t Sorted into Ravenclaw but she has faith that she deserves to be a Gryffindor and possesses the qualities of one.
Hermione is very proud and often takes it upon the shoulder that people may call her ‘Mudblood’, not being abashed as she is proud of where she comes from and who her parents are. The only thing she resent about being muggle-born is that she was subjected sooner to magic and missed out on years of experiencing it.
She is bossy and never strays off the path, always willing herself to perform the job that must be done, but she is also extremely helpful; for instance, she would always go to help the defenseless, like Neville Longbottom. Hermione is compassionate to the point of caring too much; she has a lot of vulnerability due to this. Sometimes she has a hot-head, being unable to think level-headed on her feet, but usually she can calm herself down, stop panicking and continue.
Like most girls, Hermione is insecure; she worries that she won’t fill the expectations of everyone around her and that she disappoints them by failing herself. It is an irrational fear that makes Hermione study relentlessly and strive too hard to improve herself.

Louise Granger, dentist, 38.
Pets: A bit, fat, ginger cat called Crookshanks. She’s had him since third year, and he was bought as a birthday present for her.
Residence: Hogwarts | East England.
History: Hermione Granger was born the first and only child of two dentists. Throughout her childhood, she was involved in outdoor activities, going on holidays to ski and camping in places such as the Forest of Dean and this gave Hermione many unusual skills like tent building and fire making. She attended a normal primary school and achieved good grades in every area of school. Until her eleventh birthday, Hermione lived a very normal life.
On the 19th of September, 1979, Hermione got a letter from a place called Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. On the Hogwarts Express, she met two boys, Ronald Weasley and Harry Potter, of whom the latter was extremely famous. At first, she liked them both and soon at school, where she knew the answers to every question asked, she started to follow them around believing them to be friends. However, one day she heard them being mean about her and grew upset, really upset. Crying in the toilets, Hermione was faced with a troll but Ron and Harry came to her rescue, binding the three as best friends.
Years later, after battling through a wide range of challenges to reach the Philosopher’s Stone, figuring out and then being petrified by the Basilisk, meeting Azkaban escapee and Harry’s godfather Sirius Black, whilst saving a Hippogriff called Buckbeak and saving Sirius from the Dementor’s Kiss, watching and helping Harry through the Triwizard Tournament, Hermione is now in her fifth year, hoping eventually for a drama-free life.
It’s unlikely to happen.

Roleplay Sample: Each word coming from his mouth was a stab of white-hot, furious, searing pain to her; his zealous anger seeped out of him like a captured animal bursting free from its cage. Her uncomprehending eyes met with his for a split second and for that moment, she looked deeply into his pitiless, bottomless lagoons of eyes as they led her somewhere down into his corrupted soul; in that moment, she could feel his bitterness. It was palpable in the air surrounding her, enclosing her. Heatedly, he threw words at her, desperately seeking to torture her, make her feel the pain he felt but they flew straight over her head, dissolving somewhere in space. They appeared to mean nothing. However, with a blink of her long-lashed eyes, a delicate, isolated tear ran down her cheek. It moved in slow motion, dancing along her skin, staining her flawless face as it threatened to ruin her irreplaceable perfection. Trembling ever so slightly, she lifted her hand to her face and carelessly brushed away the remnants that showed she cared; this apparently insignificant movement meant everything. Yet, it meant absolutely nothing.
“Please,” The word echoed around the cold, dimly lit room; the notes of his voice repeated like a demented choir. “Don’t bother apologising, it’s over anyway.” Another stab of pain hit her square in the chest as his hostile words were spoken with acidic discontent. Gingerly, she opened her mouth to say something. “Please, don’t say it; I don’t want to hear it.”
Lifting her eyes from the damp floor, she saw someone she hadn’t seen before; he was isolated, lost and terrifying; his stance proved he was beyond powerful but the way his eyes stayed glued to her shaking figure illustrated him to be dangerous, unafraid of confrontation. Slowly, she licked her bottom lip, mulling things over and then, with as much courage as she felt able to muster, she stood up and stared straight back at him; a challenge arising behind her diluted pupils. Looking deep and through his fury, exasperation ran through her veins, polluting her blood as it pounded around her body, making her weary and worn. She knew when she left the room, she would feel that she had betrayed herself but the pressure mounting was too great, she let her eyes drop as she stared down at her feet, biting the inside of her cheek to stop from crying out.
“You should go.” He said, his eyes burning onto her, their haunting hollowness as he looked at her with disgust, mangled to its extremes by grief. The ‘oh’ sound continued as she nodded slowly, her eyes still not meeting his. Clenching his jaw, he ripped his gaze from her and averted it to look up at the ceiling as his face twisted in horror and repulsion. Horror and repulsion aimed at his self.
“I never meant for—” She started, but she stopped as he raised his hand.
“I told you that I didn’t want to hear it.” His voice was constricted as if he were fighting something deep within; an internal battle invisible to all those around but kills the person experiencing such trauma. “Go, and never come back.”
Those last words were the tip of the iceberg. A million, razor sharp daggers thrust themselves through her chest and straight into her heart, puncturing the remaining, broken pieces, slaughtering them. A pitiful sight, but he kept his gaze tightly cast upon the ceiling as she clutched her stomach, her eyes filling like dark oceans. She blinked, a few stray tears falling down her face, falling to their own perilous end. A vicious circle of despair kept her diminishing and as she glanced back at him, her wavering hand resting on the doorframe; she saw his jaw clench and re-clench as liquid dribbled from his face to the floor.
“I’ll take the blame, I promise, he won’t know it had anything to do with you,” she whispered, the echo sounding almost as loud as the actual words. At that, she disappeared from his sight.
Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.
