Overall appearance: Lucas is a pretty tall guy, especially compared to his twin sister. He's not very muscular, but he's decently lean. He tends to dress in trendy styles (he couldnt change that even if he wanted to; Aly would annoy him to death), and he despises wizard robes. His hair is usually pretty messy, or it falls in curls around his face. Overall, its obvious from his attire and exterior appearance that he comes from a wealthy family.

Overall Personality:
CHARMING:
Julien is very skilled with words and people, mostly with the female population. He usually knows exactly what to say and how to act just after meeting something new for like, ten minutes. He's very suave when it comes to the ladies. He likes complimenting them and generally making them adore him, except he's not the type to do a 'hit and run' type relationship. Once he decides that this is the girl for him, he won't be leaving her just because. There would be a pretty good, rational reason. Most girls like him for his witty sense of humour and for those who catch on, his sarcasm.

Julien can also be a bit of a flirt, but he always attributes that to his bloodline, pointing out at his sister, his father, and even his mother, whom he greatly despises. He usually flirts innocently, though, when he's in a relationship. If not, he won't be so innocent.

SOCIAL:
Ever since they were young, both Julien and Juliette enjoyed people's company, and tended to shine in the presence of others. For Julien, this is basically the essence of survival. He cannot stand to be alone at all, and he's always finding someone to talk to and keep company. He tends to make lots of friends, and, unlike his sister, he's not very selective in his choices of friends. He has nerdy friends, popular friends, emo friends, basically, as long as you're not a Beauxbatons student, he's willing to give you a shot at befriending him.

Julien is also quite the party animal. Very much like his sister, he lives for a good loud crazy party, and he and Juliette are often the ones found throwing a party down in the dungeons, dancing and getting wasted. Of course, that meant detention if they got caught -which doesnt happen too often- but usually, they found a way to make even detention just a little more fun. He loves to frequent clubs and pubs, or just get out of the school every now and then, as he tends to find it suffocating at times.

INSECURE:
Julien hides this one fact well, but for those who really truly know him, like his sister, he's always worrying about what others think of him. He doesnt want to ever be that kid everyone picked on again, and to avoid that situation from happening, he tends to be that charming, nice popular Ravenclaw guy. However, at times he could fall into peer pressure or others' influence just to avoid losing his place in the social scene. He regrets that he does that, but for him, anything is better than being bullied, or worse, ostracized, so he's willing to do whatever it takes to stay on top, even if it meant backstabbing the closest people to him.

COMPETITIVE:
Julien can easily fall into a competitive race with others. He has a thirst to prove himself capable of whatever that gets thrown his way, and you'll often find that he cannot walk away from a competition, be it who can eat the most hot dogs in a minute or who gets the girl, he'll fight till the end.

He's also very stubborn. If he wants something or he has a certain thought in his mind, not much can get him to change his mind. The exception is of course, his social status. If his 'belief' or whatever it is that he's stubborn about threatens that, he'll back down, but he will probably always keep believing whatever it is inside.

DECEPTIVE:
Julien's very well-hidden flaw. Many people would not believe this fact if told about it, but Julien is actually great at deception and lies, a skill he developed at a very young age. He has gotten so used to it, that he can easily be categorized as a compulsive liar. At first, it started as a way for him to avoid dealing with the shock of his disentegrating family, but as the years dragged on, lying became the norm for Julien. He tends to lie constantly about the simplest, most trivial things, things that the truth really isnt that bad, but it just makes him comfortable to lie. Unlike people who find it weird to lie or decieve other, telling the truth about even the most insiginificant of things is very difficult for Julien. He's just way more comfortable twisting things, even if it really does not serve him any benefit.

ARTISTIC:
Julien is very attached to his guitar. He loves playing it, and he has a very strong love of music in general. He tends to listen to and criticize lots of music, and often takes it way more seriously than the next teenager. To him, music is basically essential for life, much like dancing is in his sister's point of view. They're both fanatic when it comes to those subjects.

History:
Julien Mattheiu Rosaire was born to Nikita Ryans, a successful English model and sometimes actress, && Marc Rosaire, son of the former French Minister and an ambassador, along with his twin sister, Juliette. The young Rosaire family lived in Alsace, a region in France, in a large villa hidden behind forests. The twins were born into money and status, so they are used to getting what they want.

Nikita and Marc met on a school exchange program when they were 17; Danielle went to Hogwarts, while Marc was a Beauxbatons' student. Two years following that, the two got married after what they thought was love. The first few years of their marriage were filled with joy and laughter, but around the twins' third birthday, Nikita was beginning to feel unsatisfied with her life. The children were everything to Marc, and despite her pushing him to go out and do something better than being a ministry worker, Marc wanted nothing more than to stay with his family. He was content, living the life of a father, with his two children, and his 'loving' wife. She also felt that Marc wasn't paying her as much attention as he used to. Nikita wanted more, and her family was holding her back from gaining the career in acting and/or modeling, although Marc never truly told her not to go after her dreams.

And so Nikita did go, which took a toll on the family. She was never around; Juliette and Julien would go weeks without seeing their mother, and Marc was growing more depressed by the day. It all reached its peek one night, a few weeks after the twins' 6th birthday, when Marc went to surprise Nikita at work with a dinner night out. What Marc walked in on would haunt him for years to come: Nikita, half-naked, in the arms of another man. It broke his heart, and that night, when they thought the kids were asleep, the two of them had a long, loud, yelling match which resulted in a divorce less than a month later. What they didn't know was that both Julien and Juliette were very much awake. While the fight did affect his sister deeply, it would haunt Julien for years to come, as his young 6-years old brain wondered why his mother didnt love him enough to stay. One phrase struck him deep, yelled out by Nikita as Marc asked her why she cheated on him, and that was basically his mother blaming the kids for her actions.

While Juliette used anger as her outlet for their mother's betrayel, Julien was instead hurt, very much, and the divorce -and later their mother's neglect- basically shaped him. While Marc did all he could to make sure his kids had everything they needed, emotionally and materialistcly, Julien always had that lingering thought that he and his sister must have been not good enough. It was why their mother left. They didn't deserve her love, in his mind.

Around two months before the twins were due to start school, Marc actually gave them both the choice. He had attended Beauxbatons, but he did not want to force his children to going there just for that reason. His sister chose to go to Hogwarts, for she enjoyed their frequent visits to Britain, but Julien chose to follow in his father's footsteps. He soon realised what a mistake that was.

Starting out at Beauxbatons, Julien was truly alone for the first time. HE had always had his sister by his side, but now, all of a sudden, he was all alone, left to fend for himself around these people. Julien tried the whole 'being yourself' thing, but that ended up with him becoming the subject of constant bullying. For the first two years, Julien somehow managed to get by. He never told his father or even Juliette of what happened at school, about how he was the outcast, the one everyone made fun of. He especially couldnt when his sister came home every holiday speaking about how great Hogwarts was and how she was having so much fun and making so many friends. It was then when he really started lying. Julien had lied before, and often, but faced with jealousy and the need to show Julie and his father that he was also having the best time of his life, he made up tons of stories and went into such detail that he often believed his own lies.

But then he would have to go to Beauxbatons and face reality once more. Third year was different, though. Things were just getting too much, and his lies were clashing and contradicting themselves and the bullying got worse and worse. It all reached a peek when Juliette visited one day in Beauxbatons unexpectedly. Classes at Hogwarts were cancelled that day due to a snow storm, so she decided to Floo over to see Julien, as it was Beauxbatons' Winter dance. What she soon realised was that her brother was not at all what he had been painting for his family for the last two and a half years. It shocked her and she was slightly upset, but obviously not as much as Julien, who, after a long heated argument between the two of them, told her to leave, and she did so.

Later that night, Julien truly hit rockbottom. His mother didnt find him or his sister worthy of her love and attention, everyone at school thought he was a loser, and now even his sister probably wasnt going to care about him anymore. HE knew how much appearances meant to her and she wouldnt want to associate with a loser, and he knew eventually that his father would lose hope too. IT all just became too much, and Julien didnt really see a reason to live anymore. So he resorted to the easiest way of ending his life he knew: he slit his wrist as he sat on the bathroom floor all alone while everyone was at the dance. In a miraculous coincidence, a boy from his year had ended up going upstairs to bed early, and after waiting for the Loser to come out of the bathroom, he barged in, only to find Julien between life and death.

He was then taken to a Wizarding hospital in Paris, and his father was called down. Later that night, Julie was told and she demanded that her headmaster let her go, which he did. The months following that were a difficult and trying time for the Rosaires. Julien did not end up going back to Beauxbatons, and to this day, he has yet to set foot in it again. THe healing process was long drawn out, but by the end of the summer, Luke had come a long way from where he was before.

He was to attend Hogwarts with his sister now, and he vowed that he would not be the kid he was back at Beauxbatons anymore. This was a little tricky at first, but with the help of Julie and his father, Julien managed to create a new person out of himself. It came with the price of becoming a compulsive liar, but even he himself isnt consciously aware of that fact. No one at Hogwarts knows anything about what happened to Julien.....yet at least.
