Daffy Pettigrew is someone who comes across as an outgoing type of girl, but she is in reality incredibly shy. She is the type of girl who is always worried that the people in her life don't really like having her around. Even though people act like they enjoy her company, Daffy is always worried that they are only lying. She's never trusting people when they tell her things, especially in relation to herself.

Daffy is the type of girl who was never told that she's beautiful when she was growing up. She never felt worth it, she never feels like she deserves anything that life has given her so far. Her self esteem is in the toilet, and she doesn't believe that it'll ever get better. She doesn't believe that she deserves for it to get better. Happy people are happy for a reason, she was never given a reason to be happy. And life just seems so much easier to deal with when she's just going through the motions.

It is universally believed that shortly after her first birthday, Daffy's father was supposed to have been killed. Instead, he transfigured into a rat and hid with the Weasley family for years. Her mother was killed by a rogue group of Death Eaters not long after she turned two, and since then she has been raised by her aunt. Her life was never much of a huge struggle, instead, she's always been haunted by the dramatics that was her parent's lives. One could say that she's merely following in some strange footsteps, standing in the shadow of every Ravenclaw genius, Slytherin actress, or courageous Gryffindor. She believes that she is merely mediocre, and her life will never truly go anywhere.
