Kylie shrugged. "It's not an issue of class, Bry. I've discovered that I drink more and faster if I drink from a cup. With a bottle, I tend to pace myself just a little bit better." She tipped the bottle at him with good humour, before downing a few swallows.
When they'd realized that they were psychic, to one degree or another, the three had made a pact to do their best to not use their abilities on each other. After all, that would be a fast way to kill a friendship (though Colin had been nice enough to warn Kylie that her mom was going to split before she did; Kylie hadn't taken too kindly to that, though, and had taken her frustration out on him) and they knew it. Every once in a while, though, they didn't have a choice in the matter, and all they could do was decide whether or not to act on their knowledge, or not.
This was the position that Kylie found herself in. Bryce was positively oozing loneliness, and Kylie could either ignore it, or do something about it.
Kylie wasn't so good at ignoring things. She was more of the mover and shaker type.
Thus, she threw herself across the table, her hand coming down and vaulting herself farther as she swung her legs around her body, and wrapped herself around Bryce.
She didn't think that through very well, though, and the two of them found themselves falling backwards from her tackle.
...Whoops...

Colin rolled his eyes at Kylie's table-jumping antics. While he had tried to blend in with the Muggles by attending Muggle Street Dueling Classes (amusingly called martial "arts"), Kylie had apparently been practicing her trespassing with the local hoodlums. He grabbed his wand from the table and performed the well-practiced swish-and-flick everyone knew from Charms class. Perhaps levitation was not the ideal spell when it came to stopping your friends falling and splitting themselves on a slate floor, but it was the first thing that came to mind. If nothing else, Colin was satisfied that he hadn't managed to grab either Kylie or Bryce's wand and launch them into the ceiling.
"Can we save the acrobatics for the sober and non-clumsy people?" Colin deadpanned, cracking a grin after staring across the room at them like he was putting them on trial, "I'm joking. We'd better get the cash together to pay the delivery."

All of a sudden, Bryce had and arm and lapful of Kylie, and was toppling to the floor. Fortunatley, Colin was used to Kylie tackling people, and saved them just before he and Kylie would have very painfully landed on the floor. He dusted himself off and reached for the drink.
"And what was that for, exactly?"
Bryce was used to Kylie's pouncing, but they werren't even drunk yet! He knew why sis did it, deep down. She was a natural empath anyway, but now it was bigger, so she sensed his lonliness. But he wasn't going to bring that up in front of Colin. No. that would be very bad. So, he took another drink.
He needed to get a girl. and soon.
He nodded as Colin mentioned the money for the food. He pulled 10 quid from his pocket. They never really kept track of who payed what, beucase it all evend out in the end anyway. And thats what best friends were for, right?

Kylie clambered off Bryce, and pulled out her own money and tossed it to Colin. She still wasn't sure what to do about Bryce. Touching him made it worse, and now she knew just how lonely he was. On second thought, tackling him probably hadn't been the best idea.
Would it be better to let him deal with it on his own, and save his pride by not actually saying anything? That just didn't feel right.
Would it be better to promise him that he'll never have to be alone? But would she be able to follow through on that? Of course she and Colin would always be there for him, but that wouldn't be enough anymore.
Kylie now had a new project for herself: find a girl for Bryce.

Colin raised an eyebrow and took Bryce's ten pounds, pulling his own wallet from his pocket and just in time for the apartment's buzzer to sound loudly. On the way to the buzzer, Colin fished some more cash from his wallet and thumbed the button to buzz the delivery boy/girl/man/woman into the building. A few long, hungry minutes later, the man knocked on the door and handed Colin the brown paper bag containing the food. Colin handed over the money and the tip, then performed his usual strange (to Muggle delivery service workers) act of shaking the delivery man's hand.

Bryce was getting happier, from all the alcohol. And also having Kylie jump him, pretty much. Merlin, he needed a girl. He chuckled at Colin.
"Why do you always have to shake the guy's hand? I mean, it's not like, it's a businesss- they're kids half the time. And we all know them by name."
It was true. The House of Wu/WHOOOO was an excellent place to eat/get drunk and order from. Bryce had long ago come to the conclusion that his friends were weird. But they were living in muggle london now. And well, the less muggle that thought them weird, the better.

"I just shake peoples' hands when I'm drunk. Remember that bartender punching me because I wouldn't leave until I shook his hand?" Colin answered, swaying violently as he necked more straight from the bottle, "It's my thing - like that guy in the skinny jean trousers said the ironic facial hair was his thing. He said it was so punk rock. And ironic. I don't think he knew what Irony was."

"Col, you're not drunk - yet. And he was a hipster. I don't think I've ever seen one before.!" Bryced tried to do a flourishing movement, but really, he just ended up crashing back onto the couch.
"Okay, so maybe I'm a leeeeeeeetle drunk..."

Kylie curled up in Bryce's lap and hugged him tight. "Love my Bryce." She nuzzled her cheek against his chest, before looking up at him with bright eyes. "I promise you won't be alone as long as I'm around. You're always going to be my Bryce. Always and always." Her lower lip quivered as her eyes filled with tears, and she buried her face against his chest again.
((Sucky tag is still sucky, but not quite as bad as before.))
